FAQ

Frequently asked question.

Do I need a referral to see Dr Caldwell?
We do not require you to have a referral to book an appointment, however welcome any historical medical information you may have. For example, previous surgeries, X-Rays or medical reports. Please bring these with you to your appointment.
Can I claim from my health fund?
If you have the appropriate level of Extras Cover, you may be able to claim a rebate from your health fund. Prior to your appointment, we will be able to provide the item numbers which correspond with your treatment; just ask one of our friendly receptionists. We recommend calling your health fund directly and asking for the relevant rebate and limits that will apply to you, as these figures vary greatly depending on your individual health cover.
Am I able to cancel my appointment?
We understand that sometimes you will need to cancel or change your appointment time. Our practice policy is that 48 hours’ notice must be given for all changes or cancellations, to allow time for another patient to fill that appointment slot.

In some circumstances, a fee may apply for last minute appointment changes. We encourage you to call our practice as soon as possible if you need to amend your appointment time.

How are you different to my regular dentist?

Our services extend on the treatment you receive through your general dentist, which is why you may have been referred to us. Dr Caldwell has completed an additional three years of university training to complete a Masters of Dental Science in Endodontics. He has 15 further years of experience focussing on this complex aspect of dentistry. This allows us to manage more complicated endodontic cases as well as give realistic opinions on the prognosis of compromised teeth.
